Monday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Nick Pivetta Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-130)
The Red Sox have hit a little slide after an impressive run. They have lost seven of their last nine and lost the third spot on the Wild Card. They’ve made some moves by acquiring Danny Jansen and James Paxton, but don’t be surprised if they make more.
Nick Pivetta is having another rough year. He’s entering his eighth season and has yet to have a sub-4.00 ERA. One part of Pivetta’s games that has significantly increased is his strikeouts. His 29.5 % strikeout rate is a career-high. This could be a game where he racks up strikeouts as he faces the Mariners, who have the worst strikeout percentage in the league.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-160)
The Blue Jays could be sellers as they sit last in the American League East. There have even been talks of Toronto sending off some of their marquee players.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. falls into that category, as he was expected to be one of the cornerstones of their rebuild. The last few seasons have not gone as expected. With him having only one more arbitration year the team could consider trying to get back something for him.
He’s been hot lately, batting. 485, with five home runs and a 1.583 OPS in his last nine games. He’ll face Zach Eflin, who he’s 6-for-16 against.
Bobby Witt Jr. Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-125)
It’s been a resurging year for the Royals as they are contending for a playoff spot. They have a mixture of veterans and young talents. Even if they don’t win this year, they are set up for a long time.
They have Bobby Witt Jr. locked in long term and will be the centerpiece for this team. He’s been having a seminal year, as his .342 average leads the league. He will face someone he has had plenty of success against, as Witt is 5-for-8 lifetime against Chris Flexen.
